Life Coaching is a powerful tool that can help you achieve success in all aspects of your life including health, career, finances, relationships, spirituality and more!  Our unique style of coaching, named L.I.F.E., was created by Spiritual Essence Yoga’s founder Dana Smith and was inspired by her personal journey to happiness. 

L.I.F.E. is an acronym meaning Living Inspired and Fearless Everyday as we believe life is a beautiful gift that is to be lived each and every day with inspiration and without fear. 



What is a Life Coach?

A Life Coach is a professionally qualified and highly motivated individual who works with you to move towards living the life you deserve.  During the coaching process your coach helps you to tap into your own inspiration and motivation and offers encouragement during the growth process. 

Life Coaches are not to be confused with therapists as they do not analyze psychological concerns.  Though the coaching process is therapeutic, it isn’t a therapy and no medical advice is given. 

As your Life Coach, Dana will assist you in designing a plan that will help you create and live the life of your dreams.  From relationships, to career to health, together you will work on your goals and chart a path for your success. 

Dana uses a variety of skills, including meditation, yoga and Reiki to enhance sessions and help you to improve certain seemingly limiting aspects of your life.  Sessions focus on working towards what you want rather than just trying to fix the problem.

How many coaching sessions will I need?

Clients are asked to make a 3-month commitment to the Life Coaching process in order to see the full positive effects that coaching can have on their lives. 

It is your choice how long the coaching relationship lasts after the initial 3 months and we offer single “maintenance” sessions after the initial period. 

How long are sessions and where are they done?

We offer 3 levels of coaching and sessions typically last 30 minutes - 1 hour.  Sessions can be done in person for those residing in the DC Metropolitan area, over the phone, or via Skype.
